Keywords:
Child support, social perception, legal compliance, family mediationAbstract
The study aimed to analyze public perception and the enforcement of the right to food in Riobamba, Ecuador, complemented by a bibliometric analysis to identify global trends in the scientific production on the subject. A mixed methodology was employed, combining structured surveys and bibliometric analysis of academic publications. The results showed that most respondents had knowledge of the right to food and recognized its importance for child well-being. However, 80% expressed concern about the lack of supervision in the proper use of resources allocated for this purpose. Additionally, 67% of participants reported having been involved in legal proceedings related to this issue, underscoring the need to strengthen mediation and conciliation mechanisms. The bibliometric analysis revealed a significant increase in publications on the right to food in recent years, with a particular focus on Latin American and European countries. This growth reflects a rising academic interest in addressing the socio-economic challenges associated with ensuring this right. It was concluded that to strengthen the enforcement of the right to food, it is essential to implement public policies that promote accountability, transparent fund supervision, and citizen education. Continuous research is recommended to identify best practices and improve existing legal frameworks.
