Discourse analysis of feminist movements for equality and difference. A psychoanalytic reading from the perspective of the castration complex.
Keywords:
Discourse, feminism, equality, difference, otherness, castrationAbstract
This research establishes a connection between the discourses of feminist movements of equality and difference and the concept of the castration complex within psychoanalytic theory. It analyzes the discursive logic of these feminist perspectives through the categories of psychoanalysis, showing how certain unconscious elements may emerge within these social constructions. The study aims to provide an interpretation that complements traditional approaches in the social sciences, which, while offering relevant explanations, often fail to address the individual and psychic dimensions underlying such discourses. From this perspective, psychoanalysis, with its constant articulation between the singular and the social, provides key insights to understand collective phenomena such as feminism. The proposal highlights the importance of recognizing that it is the subject itself, in the particularity of its experience and enjoyment, who is implicated in the production of the social. In this sense, the research contributes an innovative perspective by linking the clinical and psychoanalytic domains with a socially significant phenomenon, demonstrating the relevance of psychoanalysis as a critical interpretative tool within the field of social sciences.
