Towards workplace equity: legal mechanisms and comprehensive policies for the elimination of discriminatory practices in the workplace
Keywords:
Labor equality, inclusion, human rights, anti-discrimination policies, social justiceAbstract
The persistence of discrimination in the workplace constitutes a clear violation of the principle of equality and restricts the professional development of historically marginalized groups. Exclusionary practices—often embedded in corporate structures—sustain disparities based on gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability. In response, it is imperative to implement effective legal frameworks and inclusive public policies that foster an equitable organizational culture. Strategies such as equity audits, anti-discrimination clauses in contracts, labor rights training, and accessible reporting mechanisms are essential to restructuring the workplace. Eliminating workplace discrimination is not only a legal and ethical obligation but also enhances social cohesion, productivity, and competitiveness in increasingly diverse labor markets.
