Editorial
Abstract
Estimados lectores:
El Consejo Editorial de la Revista UGC, de la Universidad del Golfo de California se complace en presentar el volumen 2, número 3, correspondiente al cuatrimestre septiembre-diciembre. En esta ocasión en el número se reflexiona acerca de la importancia del uso de las tecnologías para el desarrollo sostenible.
Las tecnologías son sostenibles cuando buscan reducir la huella de carbono y mejorar la calidad del ser humano en su contexto histórico, social y cultural. Se refiere a la adopción de soluciones responsables para satisfacer las necesidades del hombre sin alterar el equilibrio ecológico y los ecosistemas naturales.
De esta forma permiten la reutilización, el reciclaje, la conservación de recursos naturales, la eficiencia energética, reducen la contaminación y minimizan el impacto ambiental.
En el número que se publica se evidencian ejemplos de la aplicación de las tecnologías para el desarrollo sostenibles. El Consejo Editorial reconoce las aportaciones hechas por autores y revisores. A la vez le informa a toda la comunidad científica internacional que la revista ha sido aceptada para formar parte del Catálogo 2.0 de Latindex. Finalmente, les invita a enviar resultados de investigación para los números futuros.
