This study aimed to construct a strategic framework to enhance the quality of life of children with cancer and their families during hospitalization, through the application of nursing theories and models. By conducting an integrative review of the literature, an evidence-based intervention protocol was proposed, emphasizing humanized care, a multidimensional approach, and collaboration between the healthcare team and the family. The methodology employed consisted of a documentary design with an integrative nature, incorporating a qualitative content analysis focused on the application of nursing theories and models in the care of pediatric oncology patients. The findings highlighted the applicability of various nursing theories in improving children's adaptation and self-care. Moreover, approaches such as the Theory of Unpleasant Symptoms and Kolcaba’s Comfort Theory were found to significantly contribute to symptom management and the creation of more effective care environments. The study’s results indicated that the synergistic integration of these theoretical approaches may enhance treatment adherence, reduce stress, and strengthen the therapeutic relationship. Based on these findings, a comprehensive strategic care plan was proposed, adaptable to diverse clinical settings and supported by clearly defined evaluation indicators.
